That smirk, a time when…
To wrap my arms again.
Oh…to not forget the memories left…
All we lost at two am.
When Fall’s wind swept in- it laid the groundwork for collapse.
If you could have seen another tomorrow,
watched us as we aged-
Held my hand and said goodbye…
We would know the mystery of this life.
Instead we cry, we sob and weep-
Shrug our shoulders, retreat.
As our children sleep we swear
we shall never curse another day.
To know where time no longer is- in death…we meet again.
