Letting Go Of The Past

Sometimes we view ourselves
As victims of our circumstances,
Because we haven't stopped rehearsing the past;
This often causes our thoughts to take us to gates
For which we'll never earn the right to enter.

    “Rehearsing the past.” What a fantastic metaphor for dwelling and over analysing the past. This is something that I have been very guilty of lately. Thank you so much for your inspirational write; you have just helped me to move on my friend. Alan.
