Accidents Do Happen --Second Half--
Seconds passed through the Time that I would Lay there. .
Cold from the frozen Glass, pressed against my cheek. .
The Sensation of Blood. .
Fallen Down the Searing Wound from my Temple. .
To the Tip of my cheek Bone.
I Lifted myself to the Extent in which my Strength would Endure. .
Only to see the Blood of my Father. .
As it Flowed like a River around His Body. .Darkening the Snow.
An Image of my Grandmother. .
Nearly Hidden within the Debris,
I Searched for Her, although I Failed to recognize Her Face. .
For I could not Feel Her Light.
My Heart had begun to Grow Silent,
As I watched my Mother Perish,
With every last Breath Growing Fainter.
Within those Moments, the Tears Building up Inside
Had Found Reason to Escape. .
I was a Lost Girl,
With no Ties to Identify my Presence. .
I was now a Mystery to those Outside of my Abandoned World.
The Tears began to Blur my Vision,
So I would Wipe them away. .
Finding a way out through my Father’s Broken Window.
I Stopped in my Tracks as I sat Down onto the Snow. .
Staring off Beyond the Lonely Road ahead.
Little Time went by before my Conscious Awoke
To the Sounds of another Car Fleeting by,
Gradually slowing to a stop. .
The Moment they saw the Small Girl. .
Sitting alongside the Accident.
Acting as though they would Only Wish to Summon Help to Her. .
But Far Behind their Masks. .
Lies a Truth that they will Always Fail to Understand. .
Being that it was Her Mother. .Who Genuinely Cared enough for Her,
Within that Last Embrace. .
To be the Savior of Her Life that Day.
