About This Poem

The Bike Ride

She twists him like a vine,
While the bike rushes.
More speed ;she hugs him tightly:
It is an ecstatic ride.

The bike roars and jolts
With the thrill never experienced.
The small pits on the road
Jerk them with the bike.

The bike splashes beautifully
Rain water in the pits.
It is a very risky drive,
But a reduced speed both dislike.

The greatest pleasures hide
In pits of risks.

Like a vine he twisted...with a thrill he'd never...small pits in the road did jerk him with the bike..rain water pits the bike...[but a speed reduced OR but a reduced speed both] the greatest pleasure hide..

Wow, your pome's last two lines sum up the message so well, Fabiyas. When I was younger, we used to ride our bicycles through a state forest, sometimes going airborn after going over a tree root. I surely can relate to taking risks for the purpose of finding the greatest pleasures. Congrats on your win in Brian's contest. Love, Carolyn

There is one single risk - life. This is evidenced by the one who is born each year and will be born. Blessing for you!
