A Tear

A tear was rolling down Melinda's cheek.
She simply stood and did not wipe it off.
She stared right at us, but she did not speak.
A tear was rolling down Melinda's cheek.
Dressed always shabbily was she, and meek,
the one at whom the children loved to scoff.
A tear was rolling down Melinda's cheek.
She simply stood and did not wipe it off.

thats so mean): people can be so cruel, but that seems to be how the world works. at least there are those who choose to be a friend rather than an enemy. hope you are doing well, Andrea, and merry christmas to you as well. i still won't be on a lot, because im moving to some place where i wont be able to access internet.only at school i will be able to get to you, so until i get a time is limited, lol. .i miss you too, nice to know someone does.take care(: ~Always&Forever Lynette

Hi Andrea. Thanks for your kind comment. i think I got my wires crossed (It's an age thing). I am from Ireland . More on this link God this piece hurts.I remember that there was always a 'Melinda' in school. Though I was not cruel to her/him I was as bad as those that were by fact of doing or saying nothing. Sad write but powerful, one of the best things I have read.Contest hit. Peace and happiness, Eamon
