volcano erupts

beachside village in peril --

    monster 'neath the waves


water wall rises

tsunami washes ashore --

     souls float on blue tide

    Frightening! This should zap Rick's "Flowing Water" contest. By the way, I have read Frankenstein, once when I was 18, once when I was 25, and once when I was ancient. The movies, most, are pure corn, but then aren't most of them nowadays. Love, Dave

    What a neat ideal using a tsunami caused by a volcano for this Haiku, Carolyn. As for your comment. Actually there were two brothers killed in this same accident Carolyn. My best friend and also his older brother. Tradgic for the family losing the only two boys in the family. Only by the mercy of God, for I was at a part time job, that kept me from being with them, for Ulus and I were normally in thoes days always together. Agape, Moses

    I kept thinking about the movie Hereafter while reading this poem. It opens with a huge tsunami that destroys a waterfront village. Very good entry for the contest!

    An all too recent event in Indonesia Carolyn. I was visualizing the tsunami of that December month those few years ago. Good luck in Rick's contest, it sure would be a winner for me >> James :)
