My Mother

Old mother's pot of soup is
Like a goldmine that promotes
And brightens my face...
Even it is not palatable to others,
To me it is like apple in my mouth,
Making my countenance rich and sure...

Your "Soup mom" is so proud of you, son. My own mother was misunderstood by many because she suffered from depression until she died young, but she was so loving to me. I wish others had seen the love in her heart the way I did. What a wonderful poem for my favorites! Love, "mom"

Truly suave, Charles! I miss my mothers pot of soup. It was one of a kind and the best mouth watering smell when i was outside. Just the smell would make me savor the moment.. no matter what the cooking was.. enjoyed your poem,,.. always p.d.
