The Winter of my Soul
‘Tis winter in my soul, and
It snows deep within me.
The leaves of autumn are gone,
but only Melancholy stayed behind
to converse with my soul –
ever lonely and forlorn,
and where the storms of winter have
gathered and made a home
in the weariness of my soul.
