THE DANCERS

SEE HOW WE DANCE AND SWEAT TO OUR MASTERS
WHO PLAY THE DRUM LIKE OUR LONG DEAD FATHERS-
OUR EYES ARE DEAFENED AND OUR EYES BLINDED,
WHILE BY THEM OUR CHERISHED GOLD IS MINDED-

EVERYDAY WE SWEAT IN THE DANCE-GOOD FOOLS
WHILE OUR GOLD IS STOLEN WITH ALL OUR TOOLS
AND CARRIED AWAY TO THEIR HOME FOR ENRICHMENT
LEAVING US POOR,SAVE WITH BLEEDING GARMENTS-
