Grandmother's Joy

           for my grandson Richard III

My grandson is a "Big Boy'' -
He is a Grandmother's joy.

With my grandson we are one team:
We read, we play, we walk, we swim.

He shows me his school grades,
Shares private little secrets.

We like to ride the bicycle
Around the pond's circle.

His dream is to be a policeman
Protect the people from bad men.

My grandson's smile is sunny,
He makes the world shiny.

My grandson is a " Big Boy''!
He is a Grandmother's joy!

Your poem is very lovey, brought tears to my eyes, I recently had been robbed of the joy in having a grandson, he is in heaven.... However, I am in a joyful world, knowing I am a grandmother every day. I have a beautiful and fun fun granddaughter name Ezzelle,,,,, xox Linda
