Dragon

The Dragon
In fathoms of dark
Hording treasures
Staying alert
For his food
To come to him
The beast’s mind
Filled with real fantasy
Heart damaged
Young in fearlessness
Scared body
Of neglected
In the light of moon
He’s A Beauty
Hidden from most
His weakness
Brunette, silk fleash
Peeking out desire
And good enough hands
To touch a touch back
Hesitant to soar
A solider quest in the open
Hidden is safe
Like words
Only longing
Bounces for miles
Waiting till little
Know him.

Good afternoon Johnathon. The weekend and half this week are gone and this is the first I have had a chance to read. Had so much drama in my life. Really feeling good reading poetry today. Glad yours was among them. Love, Carol
