I’m Sorry

Don’t want to see you sad
I don’t want to cause you pain!
Don’t want to get you mad
I don’t want to bring you shame!
It’s not that I hate you
It’s not that I don’t care
But my life isn’t ready
Nor my heart open to share
I just don’t want to
And I don’t mean to be mean
But I see you as friend
I’m not ready for the couple’s scene
I just am not prepared
To commit at such a level
I’m happy where I am
Please don’t call me the devil…
What? Don’t call me that please
I’m not all that you say
And yes I am afraid I guess
But this is the path on which I want to stay!
You don’t have to walk away
I didn’t mean to make you cry
I just wanted to be honest
I don’t want to be that guy
That just plays around
And doesn’t care about you
I want to be the guy
That always tells the truth
Although it may hurt
Or even have you hating me
But I can live with that…
As long as you could see,
That friends is all I want
And that all I need
But there will come a time
When I will be the one to plead!!
