About This Poem

Diadem

In awe, upon the canyon rim I stand,
Westward looking, entranced by a dying sun,
Who protesting, casts its blood across the sky.
There, beyond its sanguine crimson reach,
Against the blue dark velvet cloak,
A single trembling star pulsates.
A gem placed by God upon the breast of night

A hopeful message hidden in the image you painted in words. The way you signify "dying sun" and "cast its blood" only emphasisies the beauty of "trembling star" on the "breast of night" Good job!
