//To Wash Away..Every Burden..By These Night Fallen Stars//

In the Miraculous City that Lights up
For an Evermore & Reflects Upon the Night Fallen Stars. .
In the Essence of a Past Antiquity. .
There Lived a Gifted Young Lady. .
Soon to be Her Hometown’s Singing Sensation
And Healing through the Great Woes. .
While Her Parents had been Killed by their Enemies
Only Years Past. .
For now, She was to Dwell in the Home
Of Her Drunken God Father.
He wasn’t Fair to Her,
The Will of Her Parents was Abandoned by Him. .
Although He Never Held Enough Power to Ruin
Her Well Sauntered Path.
At the Time, She had a Close Friend. .
Who Knew of that Burden in Her Life.
She would Always Cheer Her up after His Days
Of Torment that He would Choose
To Push Her Around with. .

So One Night, Once Her God Father was Away,
The Two Best Friends were Outdoors,
Skipping Along the City. .
& Gazing Upon its Starlit Sky
& its Golden Moon.
To the Stars. .One Said,

“Hey, it’s a Full One. .& the Sky is all Lit up.
Make a Promise to yourself.”

She Thought Onto Her Friends Word,
As a Smirk came about Her Face. .
That Wish was Found,

“For a Promise to Myself. .
Sent by this Golden Moon.
Soon my soul will Gaze in the Finding
Of a Genuine Love.
In the Eyes of this Man, I will see a soul mate of mine. .
There will be no more Troubles,
Because by these Night Fallen Stars,
All the Burden will Soon Wash Away from the
Corners of my Rising Life. .”

The City Lights had Brightened. .
As the Promise of this Gifted Young Lady. .
Was Kept Within its Chambers. . .

It seems she endured so much torment from her Godfather, but with her friend's encouragement, she was able to maintain hope and joy. The gift of such a friendship is a precious one indeed, Lynette, and I pray a city of bright lights awaits us all. Very uplifting poem, dear friend. I read it several times to admire not only the beauty of the writing style, but the power of the inspirational message as well. Love, Carolyn
