A Spotlight Performance

In the spotlight she played on her flute.
Though she tried, her performance was mute.
The crowd heard not a note,
just a squeal from her throat
as they pelted her with rotten fruit.

Oh, how very clever! Poor thing, sounds like something from a nightmare- I can't seem to run in mine but no one pelts me with fruit past it's prime. This was fun to read :) Hugs, Kris

Funny, but a fear everyone has to face when getting up before a crowd for the first time.
