Falling

The whole world is out to get me
so I run away; I hide.
In the garage, under the bed,
On the roof.

No one bothers to look for me anymore.
I am being abandoned.
So as I sat on the roof, I wondered
what it would be like if I jumped.

Would it feel like I was flying?
Will it be what I imagine?
Or will I fall to the ground quickly,
landing in a deflated heap?

I want to fall forever.
