Ribcage

Split apart your ribcage,
Open up the corridor, and let me come in
Uneasiness instantly strikes through me
Let me sway away...
Let me flutter away...
Like a butterfly out of its cocoon
I'm trapped!Let me depart

Split apart your ribcage,
Unwrap me, let me go!
Believe me...reflect on me
Let me sway away...flutter away
Let us both seek the sun,
So we can grow together once more

Dear David, Congratulations Young man for this Ironic POEM "Ribcage" being a well deserved Feature I see YOU still have a little Self doubt about YOUR Flowing Pen. Be assured as Carol said if YOU have any questions You can ask any POET on the site and YOU will get answers. If the one YOU asked does not know they will refer YOU to a POET who does. I'm thinking that POETRY runs through the "Breidenthal" viensWith LOVE ALWAYS and FOREVER YOUR Eternal Liege...Harry

Thankx for the uplifting comments! Have a wonderful day (Don't worry, I have more poems) But, I'm still getting used to this website. Maybe I can show them off later. I just don't want people to copy and paste my work and publish it...It would be quite disappointing.

The essence of this poem is very intriguing. One in now trapped, and trying to find a way out could be more fun. It reminds me of Indiana Jones hysterical adventures. I like the irony. Welcome to Poetry Soup and keep writing. Great job! Joseph
