Roadways

There is a pulling in my heart,
The cause of which I do not know;
Perhaps a longing for the past,
Or making room for love to grow

Whichever way my heart is led,
(Down dusty roads that leave me cold
Or cobbled streets that catch the sun)
I know it will be for the best

For whether I find love or pain,
My heart will beat just as it has,
Not fearing darkness that awaits,
Though roads must end, and end the same.
