Running fast through the night
I must try hard to escape.
Hurrying past any light
Into a dark, creepy stillness.
Past raging waters
Quickly past grasping trees.
Is it following me?
Moving faster than I thought I could,
Where am I going on such a night?
No moon or stars to guid the way?
Why am I going on without stop?
Cold and wet I start to slow.
I know I must keep moving.
A signle light begins to rise,
With it my home.
Morning is coming,
I come to a stop.
In the crisp morning
I realize only fear
Could drive me this far, only fear.
