Forward

While I go forward into dark, silent night,
you will go forward into bright, wondrous light,
to take up your journey at last free from pain,
I'll just keep breathing, till we meet again,

And when that day comes, of one thing I am sure,
there'll be dancing in heaven when I see you once more!,
the angels will play, such a beautiful sound,
how we will laugh when you swing me around!

For now, I can only look forward and wait,
until death calls me home, and we meet at the gate.

So many people fear death, June, but when we think of the lost loved ones who wait for us "at the gate," that fear disappears. A wonderful poem with a melodic quality to it. Love, Carolyn

This one makes me very sad June, reminds me of my friend that's battling cancer and the knowledge that he is slowly slipping away.. But this piece is also filled with hope that one day we will see each other again.. Love Wilma
