                                                    Beaches in mourning:
                                                    clean species engulf their hopes
                                                    through a viscous trance
                                                    Ignominy and death stick
                                                    to the short time remaining...

    well sorry I missed this featured poem what sad imagery for the poor countless animals effected by spill wonder if dawn really cleaned most of them up well again congrats did you write this poem long ago for I know when soup features my work its like from 4 yrs ago wonder if they hate all the new ones or what keep up the great writing my poet friend

    great poem, if its for the contest then good luck. i certainly will be supporting Argentina against Germany, but i have a bet on Brazil winning the whole thing, so i'll end up supporting them.

    Very sad and so true!What an aura of death in this tanka. .Hope is just a thin line on the 'Beaches in mourning'..This tanka goes to my favs. Tanka master-Cuchi.
