Gulf Oil Spill

Gulf Oil Spill

       Another disaster ,
Caused by man.
      Oil spills far…
We do what we can.
      Once again,
We’ve damaged our Earth
      By spilling a gift
Its given us, of worth.
      The fish will die
      The oil companies will lie
If things don’t change
      The world will die.

So true, Graham. Those of us who live along the Gulf Coast are already seeing the damage, but it will spread to many other places, carried by sea currents. Excellent poem! Welcome to Poetry Soup. Love, Carolyn

Very nice and true poem. I believe we are living in what the Bible calls the last days so many tragedies will take place. Earthquakes, oil spills (the seas roaring) and what have you. Enjoyed your poem. Best wishes if in the contest. Scarlett

Nature isnt even the thing we should be most concerned about these days. We're pretty much living in a new dark ages.
