Time held us together
as we pushed the hands of fate
knowing to well
it's better to be forgiving
than having a heart
consumed by hate
It didn't make sense to be alone
and walk away
from watered down memories
sinking through clouds of yesterday
when i ate up your thoughts
you spit out my dreams

you hold on to sleepless nights
foolish as it seems
Alone you stay scarred
with a heart less than broken

against yours, beating less than zero
