About This Poem

Beyond Ocean Depth

       Beyond Ocean Depth

7 miles carried off by ocean waves
No one is their to save me on my last days

Waking up with seaweed in my mouth
Aimlessly traveling down south

The question I do not dare to ask
A journeys life ending my task

I see no butterflies, on my endless walk
Crossing shadows with a tormented talk

With no fear to all that appears
Reaching out to open a door, suddenly it disappears

Staring right before evils eye's
A slow motion drift drying off my cries

Pacing my self at the edge of all things
Entering a "Devil's realm" of only the Ying

A low beam within the sun
Stepping back in a sand box of fun

My life than dragged me right back in to quicksand
Where as a child she let go of my hand

Wondering deeper in my own invented abyss
Where I followed a kiss no one could resist

With out the guilt to grasp for air
I than observed something no one should bare

My body in front of me lost in the ocean drift
Hiding away at the bottom of all mist

Sadness hits me harder when reliving my life in a flash
Knowing exactly when my life hit it's first crash

Drowning in the depth like an ocean spill
A careless destine joining those who also wrote off their will

SKay, Wonderful imagination with being hauled off into the sea for miles, reminds me of the Life of Pi, but so much nicer in poetry.

sounds so emotional, Irma. i can understand where you are coming from when you speak of how it can hit you when sadness takes its toll on you. it can change a lot, if we don't try and make it better, at least for a small while until the things we need to focus on are complete, or at least well. i hope you are doing great. have a beter night..Irma. ~Always&Forever Lynette

This is wonderful. Water is always cleansing. You could always yell for help if you can't swim. Poseidon God of the sea may be nearby you; the Sirens may also guide you to safety with their songs. Blessings, Joseph

This poem is full of deep emotions, as deep as the deepest ocean, our life's drift like ocean waves, and sometimes we are lost in the mist. I think this poem is just wonderful. Love Constance

Irma, I saw this as someone's spirit reliving how they died by drowning in the ocean's depth. did I get it right? WAs this for a contest? It's very interesting , like getting pulled into the story the way the writer was pulled into a current. well, glad to see you before I sign off soon!! LUv, andrea
