About This Poem

A Summer Remembered --- trois par huit

.
                                           one summer
    
                                    as the ocean shimmered

                              sweet regrets, after a tattered day...

                       earth wept tears, as the sun shriveled into the bay..

                        and the receding tides washed our footprints away 

                               erased in time....lost in a glimmer...

                                   teenage love, remembered...

                                               one summer...

    You placed me right on that beach at sunset with the tide ebbing and washing away all traces of the footprints. I can hear the ocean roar as all is ending in unison. Always a beautiful and joyful read....Carolyn
