Runaway Train

An outdoor wedding, no sign of rain
The bride’s gown had a 10-foot train
Crossing the lawn to her bequeathed
Fido snatched the train in his teeth
And Pop watched eight grand go down the drain

Witty, like an old song lyric. I like this, it should be used in a witty commercial. Not that they make many anymore. Regards, Gerard and thank you!

Kudos for you putting a different twist on the contest! Oh yeah, the last line wraps up this Limerick nicely. Well done. Best wishes in the contest. P.S--did you judge your Senryu contest yet? Pick that non-17 syllable winner? Ha ha! Chris.
