Tick Tock

The tick tock of the clock counting down the day
Dusk'll soon be approaching-night comes our way

Time does just pass ever so quickly by,
Soon night'll be falling-in dreams I'll fly.

By the light of the coming morn, shining its brilliant light,
Fading is the harvest moon that did shine last night.

The measure of time ticks on as years have come and went,
One day my life shall be over-my time clock has been spent.

Yes those thoughts from your last stanza keeps us on our toes to use well the time we have in the present. As the old saying says "carpe diem". There was a contest just a bit ago on time. This would have been a good one for that contest. Been waitig to see some poems from you Mary! Maybe now you will be able to. Thanks you for your comments. : )

Nice use of rhyme to share your thoughts. Time sure has a way of getting away from a person. Keep on writing! Thank you for your kind comment. Karen

Time does seem to fly by quickly, Mary. (Especially when you're having computer problems and Dell technicians tell you it will only take another minute or two to answer your questions -- sorry, been on the phone for hours with them this morning.) You have inspired me to make the most of this day and hit the beach! Tick Tock -- let's waste no more time today. Love, Carolyn
