Duress

Under duress
Much stress
Anger-repress
Feelings-depress
Memories-regress
Exhaustion-suppress
Many emotions raging inside
So much ---I can't hide
Not sure if the anger will subside
Forgiveness one day I must abide
So much sorrow I feel as if I've died
A torrent of tears I have cried
One day we shall heal.... from the pain
~~~~One day~~~ God willing we shall live again.
    In God there is always hope. The emotion comes through your words. Good use of rhyme to share your thoughts. Thank you for your kind comment. Karen
    Powerful emotions expressed with an excellent rhyme and meter, Mary. Most of us can relate to the feelings you've described and you've taken an upbeat turn at the end by realizing we overcome these feelings with time. Very nice! Love, Carolyn
