Sundays Supper

The fresh baked bread was served with every meal
Grandma's true secrets were never revealed
Eggplant lasagna
With hand rolled pasta
Herbs and tomatoes, she grew in the field

Oooh, yum. Makes me think of my mother; gardening is her passion and I grew up practically only eating fresh natural vegetables. Nothing quite compares to the taste of an eggplant, a tomato, carrots or peas in a pod from the garden.

Yum! That eggplant sounds delicious. Eggplant Nice Sunday poem, Mitch. Eggplant Lasagna sounds wonderful. Eggplant Parmesan tastes great! And those grandma's do keep secrets. I was lucky enough when my grandma passed away to have the privilege of looking through some of her papers that no one else wanted. (SMILES! I found her pound cake recipe! Best ever.) The grandsons are surrounding me now...time to spend time with them. Keep writing great poetry. Smiles, Dane Ann
