About This Poem

The View

        THE VIEW
The Man (A sad point of view.)

I can't believe he has to be a poet.
To tell you how he feels.
Maybe he does not know it.
Words written in paper don't really heal.
Do not tell her you are sorry.
When your apology is not real.

To be or not to be?
That is the question you should really ask.

The man should never call him self a poet.
Unless he has lived, learn, lost, and gained it all back.

The man who writes good poetry.
In my eyes is a man of art.
He can paint you anything without a paint brush.
This is the man I call no poet, with a colorful heart.
.
Using all his manly skills.
He is way ahead of the ordinary man.
Leaving the imagination, fooling the soul with chills
He is like the woman who leaves you all aroused.

The woman (A sad point of view.)

While the woman swims in her own drown.
She finds her self helpless to suffering words.
Without a man she thinks she is lost, no where to be found.

The secret of the female is,
when she is heart broken.
She thinks life is over .
Little at the time she knows.
Once a woman falls.
She gets right back up to be a lady.
When the time calls.
The lady is stronger than ever.

One thing I learned about a lady .
You better respect her.
You better not destroy her better days.
She will crumble you up for sure.
If the lady says she is a poet .
Than a poet is she..

I will never insult a lady,
she will crush you where it hurts .
A real lady knows how to control her man.
A lady knows how to keep her emotional words real.

But the woman needs to grow .
Stop trying to be something shes not.
In time she will know.
To give it her best shot.
I will phrase myself and say.
"Woman always come and go."
A poet she can act and play.
With fake words that have no flow.

This is my demo to you poetry freaks.
Keep it real.
When words from your heart want to speak.

                      P.D.

WOW! Linda I love this. I have been called a Lady many a time. A poet I don't think I'm a very good one, but I just like to write. Once someone ask If I knew the difference between a Woman and a Lady. This is what i told them - A woman walks through a door, but a Lady always makes an entrance. I 'm glad to see you. did you read your Doup Mail. Lucilla

you certainly create dialogue, p.d, i've read alot of your poems after being here a couple of years, you are a awesome poet and so sensitive too, once you lower your guard. then again i like it when you are in an aggressive mood also. So i guess i just love what you do.

I truly think that hardly anybody here realizes they can see our old stuff. They took our poems away very briefly and when we complained they added them back on. But one thing they failed to do. They did not make it easy to view them "by form" Before I was able to find ANY form I ever wrote by just clicking on Form but now I can only do it for the last 200 forms. That really bums me out. Well, I need to get my contest up. Nice talking. Andrea

Here is your second one on here ,Irma. I remember really liking this one. You ask how many I have. I lost count a few years ago. I think at least 2,000. Maybe many more if you include every single dumb little thing. I don't do them lightly either. I spend a lot of time writing each one. that's what amazes me, to think of all the time I've spent writing my poems!! I blogged twice in the past of how our old poems are still showing, but the poets here didn't seem interested in learning about it.

Absolutely splendid work, Linda, that takes one on a roller-coaster ride of advice, admonishment, and wisdom...the true mark of a craftslady's work, M'Dear. Thank you for the sharing of your excellent poetry and for your generosity is helping me learn hoe to better pen my own work (free-style is with rhyme...free-verse without)...smile! Hugs to you, Linda! Rascal
