Day of Decay

Nothing kills you slower
Than the day you grow older
It pains me just to watch
This boredom beholder
The brutality begins
When my distractions wear thin
And then the drill inside my head
Begins to smolder and spin

You may pity me
But I know that you suffer

Sounds brutal to me. Ouch! Interesting perspective. Karen

It's sad to see someone lose that zest for life. Sometimes it helps to reach out to those who are feeling as you describe here and let them know they've "got a lot of living to do!" Very moving poem, Christopher. Well done! Love, Carolyn
