Flawed

The glow of orange sherbet spills down onto the street.
Crystalline ashes dust everything flat.
Parked cars, guarded by cast sentinels.
Cruiser glides silently past.

Inside the dark and once smoky.
Cacophony of words and rumble.
A couple turns into a few.
A few turns into who knew?

Feeling strong, on top of the world,
forgetting anxiety and sorrow.
Don’t screw with me you fool.
It’ll be the biggest mistake of my life.

Out into the cool, feels good on my face.
Keep out fresh air as not to weaken.
Nobody puts me in my place.
A wanton swing of the fist.

Like a hammer into a face.
Step forward to watch you fall.
Quickly jump up, then stumble...
Sleep on a concrete pillow.

Flashes of blue and red, paint darkened windows.
Cold cuffs, quarter inch vinyl,
now let weakness invade.
False anger has lead to trouble.

Nothing more to be said.

I like this James - You have some fantastic imagery going on - I especially like "cacophony of words and rumble" - A very impressive share for all -:)
