Maslow Melancholy

There’s a heartbeat in the wall
There’s a voice without tangible shape

“Follow along the line.”

Air composed of frozen pearls
Goose bumps and shallow breathing

While eating dead skin cells
It feels like it’s going to burst out of my chest

There’s no rationality
To this Maslow melancholy
This torment enslaves me
These drugs cannot save me

This is me at my weakest moment
I want to fade
I want to disappear
I don’t want to exist anymore
