Thundering Falls

Whirling, whirling,
whirling along distinctive paths
originating somewhere farther back,
beyond the crest. . .
foaming frenzied water
(once but mere faint streams
as placid as our souls before we met)
now travels faster, faster,
gaining in strength and intensity.

Beneath the glow of an amber moon,
we, young lovers,
lie where we have fallen
in this jasmine-scented night.
In our rapture, we hear
the rushing streams converge
and make their sudden dip.
Thundering, thundering,
the frothing water falls. . .

Our hearts, like the streams,
have become as one,
pounding, pounding. . .
as the beautiful cascade
resounding endlessly
inside our heart and mind
this splendid night.

The reader's pulse, just as the waterfalls, pounds when reading this amazingly romantic write, Andrea. Great work! As for Survivor, the swimsuit model was rightfully voted off the "heroes" tribe. She brought little to the tribe. James is not likely to fall victim to the feminine wiles of Parvoti again and Russell is as evil as ever. We could talk for hours about this series, my friend. I've watched nearly every episode for the last decade. Love, Carolyn

A nice imagery and fine used of words. This titillates a reader of any age because it echoes the cycle of the life-giving nature to a loving spectators. A very nice concept, Andrea. Appreciate your comments this morning. (^_^) Noel.

Ahhh.....can feel the passion in this wonderful poem. This idea would be a wonderful contest, 10 words that we must use in a poem. How about it? Are you giving that any thought? Great work! ~ Love, Carrie (ps...ha ha...coming from someone who's chicken to sponsor a contest, heh? Yep..that's me!! LOL! )
