All is Now

The universe of fear emotes a broken feeling,
loveless wastelands could hardly be called home.

Conscious rising dreamscapes, illusory revealing:
the terrified emperor sits naked on his throne.

Such precious time agonizing on his pain,
he can't receive what he refused to give.

With all his pasts and futures preordained,
in timeless boundless love God wills he lives.

Huh, I never realized the couplet form fits so well with the concept Hai. I've been hooked on this form for the last 5 poems, 4 verse rhyming couplets. Everyone is right in their interpretation. With language this vague and esoteric there are no wrong answers:)

I get it. I think you're talking about Love. The form of this poem is a "couplet" and everything makes sense from this view. Am I right, Yoni?

I am more than a believer. I am.

Do you mean "throne" for line 4 or are you using wordplay? Are we the terrified naked emperors of our own destined lives? I do agree with everyone for lines 5-6. We spend too much time in our past pains. To change the world, change yourself, "we can't receive what we refuse to give." Line 7, I'm thinking "destiny". "in timeless boundless love we choose to live." We live with hope, even though we are destined for doom. You nailed my poem "Stupor" on the dot.

I do hope you continue to revel "in timeless, boundless love," Yoni! Enjoyed the reference to the emperor and especially the insight in the third verse. Do you believe that our pasts and futures are preordained? I was away on Valentine's Day and missed this one when it was posted. Hope you had a romantic day! Love, Carolyn

this is great i really really liked it i thought the imagery was great and this is truely a thinkers poem i like the we cant recieve what we refuse to give but what i liked about it was the fact that it didnt seem like you were critisizing human kind because we are all human therefore we are all to blame for the wrong in this world. this was an excellent poem that i could read over and over again.Jo

This is a thought provoking poem. It starts out strong--ends up strong, something hard to achieve. I am glad you don't feel I'm a judgemental Christian--as I believe in accepting others values too. I really appreciate you and all the encouragement you give me. Keep up the good writing my friend. Karen
