Beneath that splendid-tree,
I've written many pages,
Of people, places, things
Of different traits and ages.
And, beneath that splendid-tree,
I'd hummed a slew of tunes,
And swat a lot of flies,
And gazed on many moons.
Yes, beneath that splendid-tree,
Something very 'wondrus' grew.
For beneath that splendid-tree,
I fell-in-love with you.
