A Rusted Key

A rusted key has broken ---
It's trapped inside a lock ---
Because the metal of it's being,
has simply lost it's stock ---
No amount of blasphemy
or acting quite demented ---
Will repair this fractured relic ---
Any more then the hypocrite,
who prays to be repented.

Tender comparison indeed - aging/rusting. Congratulations on your win. Nice play on metal/mettle too.

Quite a profound message, Sheol. Like the way you compared the "rusted key" to the hypocrite. Nice work! Love, Carolyn
