To the Love of my Life

I’ve tenderly tried to plant lots of love,
Love that comes from God above.
But what I’ve gotten has only been rotten,
And life without heartache I’ve surely forgotten.

If I could find out how to reach you one day,
If you would let me, I could teach you; I say.
I’d show you what it means to have loving kindness,
And finally take away all of your blindness

If just for once you would then say,
I did it for you it would be O.K.
I could look once more for some love inside;
If there is any more I will not hide.

I’ve loved you more than you’ll ever know.
Freedom I gave you so that you could grow.
I’ve remained faithful right up to the end.
It’s all up to you, shall we begin again?

    I truly like the last stanza. It could be human situation like parent with child, a wife with a husband that has breeched the wedding vows, or human to God where the human has failed and God is still there. Keep the creative pen flowing. Thanks for stopping by and reading my frustration poem. Sara

    Susan--the endless circle of love--I wonder why, just sometimes--we would know that it might be better to move on. I think it's chemistry. The chemical bonds can keep the brain in bondage. Hey--you said my poem was rude. OK, but did you like it? I was just trying to take something a little silly and push it to its most ridiculous conclusion. I do that a lot--can't help myself. It is a pleasure meeting you here. Keep up these great pieces of work. You have passion!

    Love is timeless when it is real, and for sure hurtful when not returned,,most of the time we cannot help or understand why we fall in love,,it usually just happens,,,your words flow so passionate and deeply rich with emotion, as well rhythm that follows each line and stanza,,truly a beutiful and dedicating piece,,,and Thank you for reading and commenting upon my words,,,Blessings..Cecil
