Dr. Feelgood

Broken bulb flashing and blood in the seat
Invisible needles and pins in my feet
Overdose highway and metal spoon street
There’s a voice in my head that I cannot defeat

Crack pipes and test tubes hang on the wall
I shoot up my veins then puke in the stall
My eyes roll back like a porcelain doll
Then I drop into a casket with a cocaine shawl

Dr. Feelgood is prescribing some dangerous medicine, Christopher. Teens should read this poem and heed its warning. Very compelling! Love, Carolyn
