Hey There Little Man

Poor little man
a tourniquet in one hand
a bottle of lather in the other
bath in riches or die in chains

Chores, like lifetimes
stack up
bores, like humans
trap us

Ignite an idea
burn the torch at both ends but keep one dimmer
balance the world by throwing it off

Existence
fertile
living in the space between the earth and the turtle
if that’s the in thing

Stand
More
Proud
Outside

Sing aloud the songs you sing through a throat rasp
a mighty gasp
inflict a yawn
predict a dawn

Tip my hat to a strange man
turn my gaze on a stranger one
he’s no better than I
so why does his extra skip gawk right back at me?

Turbulence
aerodynamic connection of a quasi “relationship”
No way he knows me
I’m better than he
I’m better than most

I like this because every time I read it I pick out a new thought or idea that didn't strike me the first time through, if that makes sense. Nice Write. ~ KC
