A river place

Creeping past the morning light
Silver hue of a watery bright
Expelling a dance of the seven kings
Sense the watchful birds on a silent wing
We are driven from our chambers come and listen
We hear your stories with movement now glistening
Carry me whole from tip to toe
Your cold crisp touch will constantly flow
A place I visit to quietly unwind
A calming balance with the bouquet of red wine
Come the slipping splendor on a downward path
Caressing the landscape with a glorious bath
A servant of nature is a poet’s quest
Containing the glimpses he chooses to digest
The river place so beautifully derived
Full of purpose a treasure of wilderness shining with pride
