Addiction (Adult Concepts)
I'm your addiction, your best friend, your disease,
You feel as if I am helping and aiming to please.
Always I make you feel so cheery, flirtatious, invincible, and happy,
Never when you smoke, toke, snort, or pop do you feel blue or crappy.
Smoke me in a pipe, blunt, one-hitter, shoot it up, or in a bong,
I always make you feel like dancing and you can sing a good song.
But, a little secret I should share with you,
I am dangerous and can ruin lives ... even kill too.
I have destroyed people and torn families apart,
I am ever powerful and you can feel it in your heart.
There is no running or hiding from me, I am your friend,
If you don't stop I will be with you until you die, the end.
I am your addiction, your best friend, your disease,
So get help and put your families mind at ease.
I am not your friend, I am an addiction, a poison to your soul,
So stop using and get a new life, one in which you are whole!!
My now almost 19 year year old daughter is a recovering drug addict/alcoholic...she has
spent the last 4 1/2 years of her life in and out of psychiatric units and rehab
centers...she says she is clean from drugs....she has said that in the past. I hope and
pray that she is being honest with me. She lives in another state with her boyfriend.
