Child Lost

Child lost in a world so cruel,
Treated like an outcast, fed gruel.

To be banished from a home without love,
Does not know of God's love from above.

Never again can she trust in another,
For that got her raped by her own brother.

No dreams can she have of happy ever afters
Those are childish hopes which'll end up in disaster.

Trapped in a life not of her doing or choosing,
Always at the end of a rope-always she is losing.

Fervently she hopes that one day maybe life'll be great,
Fast is that idea dissipating soon it'll forever vanish and abate.

Alone and scared tonight...crying silent tears in her bed,
Again she but wishes she would just drop down dead.

Mary, this reminds me of the movie I saw last month called Precious. About a girl only 15 who has been abused since babyhood. It's truly terrible and it is just happening more and more in the world. LUv, Andrea

Your write of despair is so vivid, and one that is needed to open the eyes of ignorance Mary. This is something that goes on, that many turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to. Keep up thes good writes Mary. Sincerely, Love, Moses
