Death and I Lost You

i lost you along the road
towards finding
myself.

yes i regret it my friend.

i lost you
along the race
towards a belief in
nothing more than a
selfish greed an envy
of myself that’s borderline
pathetic.

i miss you now.

looking into the sky you’re gone
and i feel lost i feel as
if i need one more moment
to tell you how much

i love you.
