1+1= just me, now.

and I saw you once
smiling at me
the smoke of our shared
cigarette ascending merging

and I loved you my friend
I loved you and your giggle
our conversations
our hugs and tears
our moments...

the cancer was so fast
too fast. I stopped smoking
afterward. my smoke
just wasn't the same without
yours alongside mine.

when we meet again
you better have a smoke
for me we'll share a cigarette
I'll tell you I was so angry
when you passed
and I'll listen to your excuse of
cancer

until then I hope you
can understand
how much
I miss you.

life and death in literature . so difficult to relate when so close, yet uniquely and well done, Joseph. I'm sorry for your loss. God bless. -Robert

This is really a unique story Joseph. A bit humorous, despite the grief expressed. But I think there will be far better pleasures to share, and enjoy together than a smoke.Haaaaaaaaaa! Smile, Sincerely, Moses

Joseph this is a heart breaker - I learned at a very early age that dying is easy - Living with death is hard - I'm sorry to hear things are going bad - if I can help in anyway let me know bro - I'm going to your e-mail and face book - Love & Respects, mj
