Karma flavored whiskey

Wine rushes through these streets,
Pulling me in and resting
My thoughts on the sidewalk.
The moon slaps me
On the small of my back,
Urging to search within my blood.
The street is breathless
As I lift the bottle
And shower over myself
With sins.
My knees taste and smell
Like whiskey,
And it rains slightly
Reddish in my eyes.
I try to drag my heavy pace
And hide beneath
The street lamp.
I taste like whiskey
In my mouth,
No more wine to wash it out…
My heart’s still throbbing
From the ache,
And it’s getting late…
Those loud lights,
I want them muffled.
