TICK TOCK
i've been watching them with two blind eyes
listening to their cries that fall upon my deaf ears
i feel their pain through my paralized limbs
i am a prisoner in this so called land of the free
i walk amongst the dead whom believe their still living
i curse my Fathers name in vain outloud
while in silence i beg for His forgiveness
i hold onto hope and faith knowing it's all i have left
i work hand to mouth for a woman that left me long ago
they say promise is a comfort to a fool i am the idiot
i reminisce on what was and loose focus on what is
i am infected with a virus that plagued my common sense
time keeps ticking but my life stands still
i live by the second because my futures expired
