Carbon Monoxide (CO) Week 2: Carbon Cabrona

Smokeless inhales hurt.
I cough tar on my shirt.
As my black lungs breathe,
Shrilling exhales wheeze.

Cabrona
Falls me
Down to
My knees.

The nicotine cracks
My will.
My composure
Spills.

I want
This.
I must
Have this.

I sink
Into
The brink
Of madness.

My wife and I agreed to smoke only after sex. My lungs cleared up and she still gets a carton a week. I wonder if I should be worried. God Bless. Vince

Physics and Chemistry are not for me! However, Poetry it is! "I sink/ Into/The brink/Of madness."....This last stanza is formidable! I like your writing, Hai Au. Ruben.
