Don’t daintily tread each timid footstep,
Or carefully cajole your heart’s desire.
You see if you know now then you knew it then.
No relief will come but your soul will tire.
Don’t blindly beckon to what you think you
Want or to your beliefs become a liar.
Never travel a course not of your own
To what others but not you aspire.
Do not wantonly act against yourself,
Or prevent your own dreams from reaching higher.
From deep within you will smoulder away
‘till your true destiny burns in the fire.
So trust yourself, you know all that you want.
Don’t put your faith in a figure of speech.
Don’t come to envy all you missed in time.
Reach high, reach far…just, reach.
