Anorak, gloves, a scarf? Well, I’m not sure
I’ll need the weight of winter outerwear,
if sun’s included in your offering.
No matter, you’re the beach! I will inhale
whatever weather breaks, skies - clear or grey.
I’ve missed your salty kiss for much too long,
your ever-changing, blue-green, moon-ruled flux;
the way your rippling chants my favorite sound.
Too many days landlocked in middle earth,
with only lakes to tease a sullen muse,
is not the way to spend one’s summer time,
when home and memory are out of tune.
